This post will discuss the Kontakt Factory library. It is the biggest collection of the world's most versatile instrument patches ever created for any production software. At 112 GB, it covers all ranges of musical styles, scales and time signatures. It's even capable of accurately representing or re-creating most popular synthesizers, samplers and soft synths that are out there today in modern music production software like Ableton Live (available at 129GB), Logic Pro (available at 239GB) and Pro Tools (available at 269GB). This mixer even provides a compressor and expander with which the user can easily change the dynamics of different channels independently from each other, making it uniquely useful for mixing purposes as well as remixing/remix productions. In addition to the mixer, the Kontakt Factory library also comes with a built-in delay, gate and reverb effects for use with any patch. With the Kontakt Factory library, users can also apply a vast number of different effects to their productions. These effects include EQs, gates and expanders for use on any given channel. The library comes with 122 different types of filters too, which can be applied on a per-instrument basis through its single point equalizer. Included in this library of over 1.5 million patch points are over 60 new instrument types that have never been available to users before. These instruments span a wide variety of genres, styles and production styles. However, they all share a common set of characteristics: the instruments are 100% carefully tuned presets, pre-loaded with a large number of perfectly known sounds from popular synthesizers and samplers.
